Organic Purple Wholemeal Sourdough Batard


This is Thoroughbread Bakery’s standard wholemeal loaf. Made with a combination of organic wholemeal flour & wholemeal purple wheat flour. It is naturally a darker loaf & also contains, water, salt & sourdough starter.

Purple wheat is from the family of ancient wheats similar to rye & spelt and studies have show that purple wheat contains high levels of anthocyanins and phenolic acids. These compounds help neutralise free radicals that cause cell damage linked to aging and disease.

Try it with some Pepe Saya Organic Butter. Anti-aging and yum!

Batard is approx. 1.1kg.
