Fill the fridge with delicious 100% Certified Organic, Seasonal Fruit + Veg this week.
Here’s what to expect:
100% CERTIFIED ORGANIC: Every bite of our produce is certified organic. It’s a pretty big deal for us. We don’t do spray free. We don’t do ‘clean 15’. Produce marked ‘Organic’ in a Farmer’s Market, with no way of tracing certification is most likely NOT organic at all. We only get produce from farms that have full Australian Organic certification. We can even tell you exactly which farm your produce came from on the day you ordered! And we reckon that’s the way it should be.
VARIETY: We focus on a good variety of produce, to keep you eating the rainbow, so availability will vary week to week. If you want a particular variety of some item, please note it in the comments at checkout and we’ll do our best to get it for you.
Please note that availability also depends on our suppliers and what produce is sent from farms on our delivery day. Rain, picking staff, and a raft of other issues can affect supply from farms. This means that occasionally, produce that we’ve ordered won’t be available on our delivery day. We endeavour to provide you with a suitable substitute. If a substitute isn’t available, we’ll refund you as soon as possible, or you can use your credit towards your next order with us.
SEASONAL: We believe in eating seasonally, for our health and the health of the planet, so availability and price varies with the seasons. We update prices regularly, as price lists come from our suppliers, so check the website for the most up to date pricing.
LOCAL: We also do our best to reduce the distance your food travels from the farm to your door. We only buy Australian produce, never imported and we source from as close to us as we can.
MARKED PRODUCE: We love the ugly ones! We regularly source 2nd grade produce (Mainly carrots, apples and onions). They’re from the same farms as the pretty ones, harvested the same day, they’re just not as good looking. Apples can have bumps and lumps and the odd hole. Carrots may be weird shapes, broken, or extra large or small. Onions may be very small (pickling size).
AFFORDABLE: By buying 2nd grade produce, we’re doing our bit to tackle Australia’s massive food waste problem, we’re making your fruit and veges more affordable, and we’re able to get a greater variety of produce for your box. If we can source marked produce at a discount, we can then buy more expensive items, such as garlic and ginger – regular inclusions in our boxes, and virtually never seen in produce boxes anywhere else. Win-win!
So you’re guaranteed that every bite of your yummy fruit and veges is 100% organic, seasonal, Australian grown, and as local, affordable and full of variety as we can make it. And we reckon it doesn’t get any better than that.
